Quality assurance for management
Performance-related issues of quality and service need to be addressed at multiple levels and as part of an ongoing process. The following points are just a few that must be considered when the aim is to retain or improve quality standards:
- Food and beverage knowledge and experience of the Flight Attendant and/or the person placing the order
- Motivation of the Flight Attendant and/or the person placing the order
- Availability of a competent provider at selected departure point
- Ingredients and internal supply chains providers choose
- Clearly identified and documented expectations set prior to ordering
- Timing of order placement
- Quality and detail of order information provided
- Follow up to ensure all items are understood and available at placement
- Point-by-point order monitoring
